1. Data controller

2. Data we collect
- Transfers: sender number, recipient number, name of the recipient's account holder when provided by the payment provider, amount, fees, status, date and time, technical payment references.
- Account (optional): name, email, encrypted password or Google ID, favourites, date you accepted the terms.
- Communications: WhatsApp messages and emails exchanged with us, delivery and read statuses of our messages, support requests, feedback and suggestions you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and technical logs, used for security and to keep the service running.
Without an account, only the data related to your transfers and our exchanges is kept.
3. Why we use your data
- To carry out your transfers and track their status.
- To inform you on WhatsApp of the status of your transfers (success, failure, refund), on the sender number and, where relevant, the recipient number.
- To help you when a transfer fails and to handle your claims and refunds.
- To manage your account, history and favourites.
- To send you account-related emails, including a welcome email.
- To improve the service using your feedback and usage statistics.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and meet our anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing obligations.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Phone numbers you enter are used to carry out the transfer, to check the account holder's name when available, and to send WhatsApp status messages (to the sender and/or the recipient, depending on the transfer). Reply STOP to stop receiving these messages.
4. Who receives your data
Your data is shared only with the parties needed for the service:
- CamPay (TAKWID GROUP), payment service provider under contract, to collect and send funds;
- MTN and Orange, to carry out payments on Mobile Money accounts;
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp) and its access provider, to send status messages;
- our email provider;
- rnexx, technical provider that develops, hosts and maintains the platform on our behalf;
- the competent authorities and financial sector supervisors (including the COBAC and the BEAC), where regulations require it.
Your data is never sold to advertisers.
5. Retention
Your data is kept securely for the operation of the service, support, and our accounting and legal obligations. It is deleted only upon your explicit request, subject to legal or accounting obligations that may require longer retention.
6. Stopping messages
- WhatsApp: reply STOP to any of our messages. You will no longer receive status messages.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in our emails, or write to mvicmoney@rnexx.tech.
7. Your rights
Under applicable Cameroonian regulations, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or to limit its use. Write to mvicmoney@rnexx.tech or on WhatsApp: we reply within 24 hours and handle your request as quickly as possible.
8. Security
Your data is protected by an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access restricted to authorised people only, and service monitoring. Mvic Money never knows your Mobile Money PIN. If you notice an incident, report it to mvicmoney@rnexx.tech.
